analogue video frame : slide projection whit autofocus

JOIN THE GAPS is an installation project that implements the continuous search for uniting the second and third dimension, based on a series of slides and their projection.

The first phase involves adding volume to the slides by cutting, bending and sketching flat geometric figures with collapsed boxes, thus blocking the transition time between design and construction.

The projection of these micro-sculptures is the second phase ; whereby an image returns to be two-dimensional but with its own magnification (macro) .

The lense of the projector cannot capture all three dimensions, only a single plain. Therefore, the autofocus is adjusted automatically in order to discover the different distances joined within a plain in an analogue video.
